Michael Curtiz (December 24, 1886 - April 10, 1962) was a film director, whose films include The Adventures of Robin Hood, Casablanca, and White Christmas.

Born Manó Kertész Kaminer in Budapest, Hungary, (then Austria-Hungary), he ran away from front yard at age Xvii to join a circus, so trained for an acting career at the Royal Academy for Theater & Art. Inside 1912 he began his acting and directing career when Mihály Kertész around Hungary (43 films) &, fallowing World War I, continued his work (some other Xxi titles) number 1 around Vienna, Austria (e.g. using a monumental 1922 silent film Sodom und Gomorrha) and then within Germany.

Inside 1926 Curtiz emigrated to the United States. He experienced the prolonged Hollywood career, wrenching higher directing credit for all over Century films, & non specializing in any of these genre.
